Corporate Social Responsibility
At Artis we are keen to do what we can to give something back to the communities in which we live and work. We're also keen to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible to help combat climate change. These principles have always been important to us personally, and we think there's no reason why a successful business shouldn't do it's bit too.
We are proud to associate ourselves with the work done by the Forest of Avon (www.forestofavon.org.uk) in managing and conserving local community woodlands here in the South West.
We have made a firm commitment to pledge money from every fee we generate to their Dedicate a Tree programme. For every candidate we place in a permanent position we will dedicate a tree to that candidate and to the company or organisation who employs them. We'll also donate when we receive a fee through our HR Consultancy & Training business. By doing this we ensure these trees and the woodlands in which they live are cared for and managed for the long-term. In this way we hope to help reduce our own corporate carbon emissions, plus we know we will be enhancing the quality of life for people and wildlife across the South West.
For more information on how you can get involved with Forest of Avon please visit their website.
We're also an energetic bunch here at Artis, and you can often find us organising sponsored walks and runs for charity. Having notched up a respectable time for the recent Bristol 10K run, Huw is in training for the Bristol and Cardiff Half Marathons in September and October respectively. Huw will team up with Mark Lightburn to conquer the Welsh 3000's (15 Welsh peaks in Snowdonia over 3000ft completed in 24hrs!) later this year - all proceeds raised from these and other events will go to our chosen charitable causes. You can give at any time to our chosen charities through the link below...
